About

“Shut my mouth” is a Southern expression for speechlessness.  Speechlessness is something I know nothing about.  I have no filter and I don’t beat around the bush.  I typically say what I mean and mean what I say.

It’s hard for me to admit this, but I have said some things I regret.  You see, I grew up in a close, emotional and verbal clan.  When I had an angry verbal outburst, my family knew I was just “spoutin’ off,” didn’t mean most of what I said, and laughed it off.  We’d “yell it out” and everything would be fine after a few hours.  Unfortunately for me, most of the world is not as forgiving.  I’ve also learned that not everyone gets or appreciates my sarcasm at every turn.

While I know that I shouldn’t say out loud anything and everything that pops into my head, it’s dangerous for me to hold it in.  I need an outlet, a sounding board -hell, I need a therapist!  While I appreciate readers and their comments, please do not tell me “You can’t say that!”  Because, yes, yes, I can.  You may not like what I say, you may not agree with it.  But this is my place.  If you don’t appreciate sarcasm, sardonic comments and poltically incorrect humor, this is probably not the place you want to be.

If you stick around, thanks for listening.  And damn, you really need to get life if you’re reading a loser like me!  (I kid, I kid…)
